Increased access to therapy in the comfort of your own home or office. Many clients feel more comfortable with the privacy afforded by staying in their own space.
Telehealth is a better option for the safety of both clients and therapist during times of illness or other health crisis.
Saves time traveling to and from another location, along with time sitting in the waiting room.
Having the option of telehealth means clients do not have to risk travel during inclement weather or miss appointments.
Saves money for gas, parking, and wear and tear on your vehicle.
The effectiveness of telehealth has been validated in past studies.
An increased ability to accommodate appointment requests quicker, typically within a week.
Equipment needed
Participating in telehealth sessions requires one of the following devices: a computer (desktop, laptop or tablet), with a webcam, microphone and speakers, or a smartphone with Telehealth by SimplePractice downloaded on it (available for iOS or Android in the app store). An internet connection of at least 10mbps is also required.
What is Simple Practice?
SimplePractice, LLC is the software utilized for scheduling and delivering telehealth sessions. SimplePractice’s software is HIPAA compliant so your information is secure.
How to get started with your first session
Please call 860-952-9025 or request an appointment online.
Intake and consent forms will be provided within the SimplePractice portal.
Complete the payment page where you can pay by credit card.
With a desktop, laptop or tablet, there is nothing to download prior to your appointment. About 10 minutes before a scheduled session, you should receive either an email or text with a link for you to click to join the video call. You’ll be asked to test your video and audio settings before joining the video call. When you are ready, click Join Video Call. If I have already joined the call, you will see my face on the screen. If I have not, you will see yourself until I join the video call.
With a mobile device, in advance of your first scheduled session, please download Telehealth by SimplePractice for IOS or Android using the links provided on this web page. About 10 minutes before your appointment, you should receive either an email or text with a link that will open the Telehealth by SimplePractice app. Click “Join Video Call”. If I have already joined the call, you will see my face on the screen. If I have not, you will see yourself until I join the video call.
